Fiddlers Ferry Power Station
The Fiddler's Ferry Power Station is located near Warrington in Cheshire adjacent to the River Mersey and is owned by Scottish & Southern Energy which is based in Perth, Scotland and is one of the "Big Six" utilities
The limestone/gypsum FGD system incorporates a bypass system and a gas/gas heater for reheating the flue gases to over 80 ºC post the FGD system and prior to being discharged through the existing chimney. The limestone delivery and gypsum off-take will be by rail and modifications to the existing coal delivery circuit are included in the supply, together with a tubular conveying system to transport the limestone/gypsum to and from the FGD scrubbing system.
While Building the tunnels that houses the conveyor belt that carrys the waste gypsum away to be shipped from the site by train the tunnel spung a few strucual leak so we successfully sealed the tunnel to keep the production line going 24 hour a day 7 days a week preventing any costley down time.
Also We carried out extentive concrete cosmetic treatments to many off the new build concrete substructures.
