Morpeth Flood Defence Wall
Morpeth Flood Defence Wall

A year ago Morpeth was devastated by the worst flood in living memory.
More than 1,000 houses were affected when the River Wansbeck burst its banks on Saturday, September 6.
Emergency services were caught out by the speed and scale of the disaster, but no lives were lost.
So after this happed a flood defence scheme was introduced £17m plans to protect the town construction work starts in 2011.
We were asked by Interserve Project Services to solve the problem of the floods weakening the wall and causing its integrity to be compromised.
We used our years of experience and tried and tested tecniques to re-enforce and introduce a waterproof membrane in to the wall with great success to protect the beautiful town of Morpeth.
